Follow these simple steps to write your own wedding vows.
You’ve decided to write your own wedding vows, but you are quickly regretting that decision as you sit at your kitchen table contemplating how to start. This is not uncommon, just a little thing we call writer’s block. But let’s face it; it’s difficult to write about this person you love and why you chose to spend the rest of your life with them. Your mind fills with hundreds of memories and emotions that you’ve had together, but you are unsure which ones to write about. If you follow these simple steps, you’ll be done with your vows in no time!
During this exercise, you’ll be creating an outline of memories. This will help you organize all of your ideas so you can choose which ones to include in your wedding vows.
The Beginning: How did you two meet? Is there a special story that you would be willing to share with your friends and family on your wedding day? If so, write down every detail of how you met.
Memories As a Couple: Start jotting down memories you’ve had together as a couple. Don’t write every single memory, just the ones that are special to you and your significant other. Your wedding vows will not include all of these memories, but it will be easier to choose which ones you want to talk about if you have them in front of you.
Why You’re in Love: Why do you love this person? What is it about him or her that gives you this powerful feeling? This can be hard to put in words, but if you glance back at the memories you’ve already written down, they will remind you of how you fell in love.
Why He/She is the Chosen One: Out of all the people in the world, you are choosing this person to spend the rest of your life with. You never thought of it that way, did you? There has to be an abundance of reasons as to why you want to spend all of eternity with this one person.
Look at all you’ve written down! Your writer’s block is cured. You now have so many ideas to work with when writing your vows. From the list, choose which memories you want to write about. These are your wedding vows, and they can be as long as you want.
After writing your vows, you now have a list of memories that you and your significant other shared together. Some couples create a book of memories, while others use these ideas to write a speech at their wedding reception. You can use this list for that speech as well. Talk to the NJ DJ that you booked for the wedding reception and let them know that you want to say a speech. The NJ wedding DJ will announce that the bride and groom want to say a few words. You can also choose a number of songs to play during the speech. Talk to your NJ DJ beforehand so you can properly plan this out. At Gemini Productions we provide two arcade-style photo booths to be used for events. Many of our clients use the pictures as favors for weddings, Sweet 16s, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, etc. At the event, we have a photo booth technician available to help the guests work the machine. Some of our clients bring a blank scrapbook to the event, and the photo booth technician will put the pictures in the scrapbook for the guest of honor to take after the event is over.
We can customize each strip to have four pictures, or have the final picture print with the guest of honor’s monogram, company logo, name, etc. The photo booth prints two copies of the photos and the guests can select from many options: black & white, color, and a selection of borders.
We can give the guests both copies, save one for the guest of honor, or save the other copy for the scrapbook. The photo booth also comes with a burned disk of all the photos taken throughout the night and the NJ DJs will provide that for you after the event has ended.

Brittany had the time of her life at her Quinceañera on June 9, 2012.
A Quinceañera, also known as Quince, is a Latin American celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday. It honors a young girl moving on from the chapter of childhood to the chapter of womanhood.
You may think this is the same as the traditional Sweet 16, but it’s completely different. At a Quince, there are several dance performances throughout the night with the birthday girl’s escort and 28 closest friends: 14 girls and 14 boys. These are choreographed dances that are prepared well in advance.
Brittany celebrated her Quince on Saturday, June 9th at Komar Hall in Linden, New Jersey. With the purple uplights, a glow dj booth, a step and repeat backdrop, and her very own custom monogram, Brittany and her friends felt as if they were at a dance club. The top NJ DJs from Gemini Productions performed at the event playing a variety of Latin music. Some of the songs played were Don Omar by Danza Kuduro, Si Te Vas/Que Tengo Que Hacer by Omega, Follow the Leader by Wisin, Yandel, and Jennifer Lopez, Pintame by Elvis Crespo, and El Beeper by Oro Solido.
The guests went wild when Brittany and her friends performed the first choreographed dance. Everyone was so impressed by how well they did, and they were looking forward to seeing the other dances they had prepared. You could tell by her smile and dance moves that Brittany was having the time of her life celebrating her Quinceañera.
